The renowned Colorado blue skies and sunshine beam down on us almost every day in summer making for a wondrous playground of mountain activities. The mountains are full of wildflowers and hiking trails, bike trails and rivers running are just the beginning of the summer fun. The high country golf courses where your ball flies so far you feel like Jack Nicklaus every time you take a swing, the pristine waters of the Blue River and the mighty Colorado are heaven for the avid fly fisherman. You can experience the majesty of the true west with any of the local horse riding outfits, or fly high above the mountains in a balloon. Water sports abound, with Lake Dillon, a sight to see and sail boats full of color, kayakers out on still waters at dawn and the daring white water rafters on the rivers challenging the forces of nature.
